Product Owner

The end client is deploying a new set of mobile, broadband, voice and TV products in several of its European markets.

The Technical Product Owner is the representative for the product stakeholder(s) into the technical teams. He/she is responsible for ensuring the requests from stakeholders are translated into technical user stories, and that the stories are written and prioritised. In addition, the technical product owner works closely with other agile practitioners and scrum teams members to respond to day-to-day questions and queries, and accepts deliverables from the scrum team at the end of each sprint.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with Demand Management, Business and Architecture to define requirements
- Split the requirements into smaller chunks of work, which can possibly be independent of each other
- Understand the hierarchy of a backlog (Epics, Features, Stories)
- Develop and communicate a release vision for the roadmap and consequent deliveries
- Manage and prioritise a product backlog
- Write the acceptance criteria for Epics, features and stories
- Participate and drive the planning sessions for each Iteration
- Demo work where appropriate to senior stakeholders
- Participate in demos and retrospectives
- Sign off on each sprint and release after a successful demo. Or, provide feedback where changes are possibly needed.
- Wireframing, story or dependency mapping. (Nice to have)
- International travel may be required as deemed necessary by CIO management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE:ESSENTIAL

- Product Owner Qualified (PPO or CSP)
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Experience in working for more than one scrum team
- Experience in negotiating with the business and senior stakeholders
- Has worked with Confluence and Jira
- Product management Experience
- Fluent English Speaker, Ideally other European Languages
- Ideally Telecoms experience

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND TEAM WORKING:

- Key Relationships to the business stakeholders in Product Management and country affiliates.
- Key Relationships with executive management in CIO, corporate and affiliate operations.
- Key Relationships to the development and testing teams with CIO.
