Product Manager

YOUR ROLE

Launching a Digital Insurance product which offers competitively priced premiums, value added services, rewards and discounts for safe driving.

We are looking for an energetic and experienced leader with experience of bringing new products and services to market. Your primary focus will be leading the virtual teams responsible for the design, build and launch of critical product elements. This could include telematics, but you'll have proven experience of delivering great customer experience in a variety of areas and the management of complex networks of internal and external suppliers.

You'll be a master of delivering quality products in aggressive timescales, navigating the organisation and its processes to deliver effectively under pressure. You'll also be able approach challenges with an innovative and agile mind-set to overcome multiple challenges and deliver on-time.

You'll be reporting to the Programme Director and sitting alongside peers who manage the commercial, marketing and partner parts of the proposition. You will be expected to work closely with product partners - developing nascent supplier consortiums into contracted and functioning relationships - and the Consumer Marketing and Operations teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- You'll be the product lead for critical delivery areas and a key contributor across the delivery team. Embedded in a virtual team of technology specialists, you'll have ultimate responsibility for key elements of the product specification, design, build, delivery and end to end roadmap. You'll ensure that we deliver what we need to meet the commercial model and business case.
- You'll use customer insights and input from key stakeholders such as Partners, Operations and Consumer Marketing to inform you and your team's thinking.
- You'll work closely with our Partner organisations to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
- You'll be measured on time-to-market, customer satisfaction, and financial KPIs.
- You'll integrate with a wider virtual team of specialists who will support delivery of the product.
- Post-delivery, you will go on to be a key member of the in-life operational business team, being responsible for the successful ongoing deployment of the product and future roadmap, iterating and enhancing the product to keep it best in class .

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED

- Experience of contributing to the development, trial and launch of complex consumer products with a focus on great customer experience.
- Experience of working closely with Operations and Consumer Marketing teams.
- Experience of working with complex internal delivery processes.
- Experience of operating within significant commercial, brand and operational risk scenarios into the multi-millions.
- Experience of contributing to large scale and high profile programmes which cross multiple areas of the organisation.
- Confident with senior stakeholder management.
- Experience of working closely with external partners where the relationship/responsibilities are sometimes unclear.
- Ability to grasp the complexities (if not fully understand the details) of technical delivery and facilitating the right business decisions based on the opportunities and limitations of what can be delivered.
- At least one year of leading people in virtual teams.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, and delivering under pressure in complex fast-paced environments.
- Ability to demonstrate where agile/innovative/practical thinking and workarounds have been used to condense delivery timescales, hit deadlines or to overcome barriers to market.
