Product Development Manager Job

MERCHANDISING PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Kirkland, WA.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Large consumer product experience
- Merchandising experience
- Experience working on Consumer Products with licensed merchandise partners
- Experience with merchandising and licensing process

What You'll Be Doing:
- Work with Business Development Manager to define merchandise line for each licensed merchandise partner.
- Manage product development with licensed merchandise partners and internal stake holders.
- Manage/track product approval feedback.
- Provide copy/editing support on packaging and marketing materials
- Assist with licensing style guide development and delivery.
- Manage art, marketing and game code assets (archiving, organizing) and work with game studios to retrieve and deliver them to partners.
- Manage approvals on packaging, product copy, press releases and marketing materials.
- Administrative duties will include shipping boxes, correspondence (e-mail and letters), and scheduling partner conference calls.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Must be able to resolve issues with little guidance, work cross group, anticipate potential issues and take initiative in finding solutions to solve issues.
- Product management for soundtracks, home video, digital distribution,print and digital categories such as comics and novels, apparel and accessories highly preferred.
- Understanding of the business of consumer products and product development across categories of media and apparel/accessories
- Familiar with graphic design Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Candidate should very familiar with the primary characters, vehicles and weapons in the game in order to provide accurate product development feedback.
- Candidate should be very familiar with the game universe and canon.
- Must communicate well with all stake holders and manage deadlines effectively.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with gaming related merchandise (or entertainment related)
