Product Development Engineer (Medical Device) Job

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (MEDICAL DEVICE) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in LAKE FOREST, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Product Development Engineer with at least 5-10 years of experience in an FDA regulated industry (Medical Device)
- Develop medical products utilizing PRO/E
- Knowledge of FEA optimization, tolerance analysis and GD&T
- Developing and writing test scripts and test cases
- Hands on experience with injection molds, Proto-Type design and small mechanisms
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferably Mechanical engineering
- Knowledge of V&V activities such as packaging, biocompatibility and sterility verification testing

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Works in a collaborative team environment developing innovative solutions for ophthalmic surgical equipment.
- Participate in the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products.
- Designs, builds, documents and tests mechanical fixtures using Pro-E (Creo).
- Details drawings with appropriate tolerances and GD&T.
- Designs, builds, tests and analyzes prototypes.
- Writes test procedures, protocols and technical reports.
- Support product research to establish and/or verify product performance requirements.
- Development of requirements, detailed product design, performance verification and validation.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, QA, SW and Marketing.
- Support V&V of product requirements.
- Documentation of specifications, plans, and reports per client's Quality system.
