A Product Controller is required by the Prime Services Business within a Tier 1 Investment Bank in London. Successful candidate will be an experienced Product Controller from an Investment Banking background. Will also ideally have equities experience but this inst essential

Responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of review of all facets of the P&L and balance sheet issues surrounding the books. This requires sufficient technical understanding to rationalise the trader's daily Flash against external market events and risks associated with a particular book and trading strategy.
- Maintain oversight of key reconciliations to ensure trading P&L is reported in an accurate and timely manner.
- Validate Daily P&L reporting to traders and senior management.
- Validate Daily P&L calculated by Line Control.
- Commentary on daily, weekly and monthly P&L.
- Reconciliation of reported P&L to underlying ledgers.
- Balance sheet review and analysis.
- Account ownership review
- Liaison with Front Office, Operations and Financial Control to discuss and resolve ad hoc issues
- Provide high standard of client service to Front Office.
- Produce and analyse MI reports.
- Assistance with ad-hoc projects and information request.

Skills and experience required:
- Highly numerate with particular attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, able to articulate complex issues clearly and succinctly to senior management.
- Lateral thinker with excellent analytical, planning, organising and problem solving skills.
- Excellent planning & organising skills.
- Experience working with multi-location and multi-cultural environments with the ability to engage and influence across regional teams.
- Strong control mindset.
- Ease in dealing with senior management & ability to collaborate with others at all levels.
- Assertive and direct when required.
- High level of integrity and accountability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- A recognised professional accountancy or financial qualification preferred.
- Risk and product knowledge desirable.
