Projektbeschreibung

My client, a leading Tier 1 Bank, is looking for a cross-asset experienced Product Controller to join their Central Reporting function. Exposure to IFRS and a broad array of product classes is a must.

ROLE PURPOSE

- Run end of day HBEU and Global GM P&L consolidation reporting process and the associated month end estimation, reconciliation and review processes together with preparation of associated commentaries
- Preparing consolidated P&L commentaries on monthly balance sheet and P&L
- Run the daily Actual to Estimate reporting process for HBEU, tracking submission times, issues and remediation, and assisting with the automation of the 'actual' to 'estimated' process in Pegasus. Consolidate HBEU with other hubs to produce global pack.
- Run the daily and monthly VaR P&L Backtesting review process
- Co-ordinate the quarterly product control deliverables through running of the timetable process
- Co-ordinate the reporting of IFRS 7 and 12 deliverables for product control, including the consolidation and review.
- Act as a primary contact on G/L and management reporting hierarchies, GL cost centre change and cost centre ownership processes. Working with line Product Controllers to ensure consistent reporting hierarchies and supporting the hierarchy remediation program currently underway with Market Risk and BI&A
- Assisting with the onboarding of existing reporting processes to strategic IT architecture
- Analytical review and follow up with Product Controllers and Group Finance derivatives, financial investments, trading assets and liabilities etc.
- Month-end journal trend analysis to Senior Management
- Support ad-hoc reporting requests and projects

EDUCATION

-Top grade A levels (or equivalent)
- University degree (Class 2:1 or equivalent)
- Accounting qualification (1st time passes)
- Audit Training in one of the top accountancy firms

SKILLS

- Strong technical and analytical skills
- High degree of emotional intelligence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to succinctly convey pertinent information.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity is a pre-requisite.
- Flexible interpersonal style capable of adapting to a range of customers and personality types across the organisation.
- IFRS accounting knowledge and product knowledge would be an advantage.
