Product Control

This is a challenging role taking on responsibility in the Business Control (BC) function within Global Credit Products, Correlation and Capital Markets. The candidate will be assisting in the performance of the Credit BC functions to meet challenging deadlines on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.

Key Requirements:
1. Validate and Control PnL & Balance Sheet including performing analytical review of positions and challenge the desk where appropriate.
2. Maintain the control framework for the credit business.
3. Validate and substantiate that the books and records are accurate in respect to structured and material new trades (via Pre Trade Approval, New Business or Structured Trade Reviews).

Control Tasks:
- Control reporting, which includes appropriate escalation, and SOX documentation and testing
- Building an awareness of risks associated with the business supported

Key Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant preferred
- Investment Banking experience either through line Product Control experience or relevant Audit background
- Credit specific derivatives experience is not essential (other asset classes are acceptable), but knowledge of the basic workings of credit markets and products is a requirement.
- A broad understanding of the relevant concepts of technical accounting (US GAAP/IFRS)
- Good practical IT. skills, particularly Excel and Word.
