Product Assurance Test Engineer Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for A PRODUCT ASSURANCE TEST ENGINEER to join our client in Rochester, NY.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Conduct product testing to validate conformance of designs to established product requirements and applicable industry/company standards.
- Develop and/or execute product test plans, test facilities and schedules, generate test reports upon completion of the test cycle.
- Confer with other departments to clarify or resolve problems and improve design.
- Working with members of the Product Assurance team and independently support and execute of product test plans/strategy/processes.
- Support product test plans/setups and configurations, specific test criteria.
- Support analytical studies of test results/data to conclude whether or not a product design conforms to established product and/or customer requirements.
- Proactive membership in product development teams in order to maintain good communications with regard to schedules, strategies, and issues.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE

- BACHELORS DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING OR COMPUTER SCIENCE OR MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
- A basic knowledge and fundamental skills in product validation testing/test methodology, troubleshooting and analysis of products under test.
- Technical Writing/Report Writing
- Ability to represent product test reports and contribute as a cross-functional team member.
- A level of interpersonal/communication skills to effectively interface with company personnel at various levels (other engineers, technicians, Mfg. personnel, management, etc.).
- Perform product validation testing and support project activities. May conduct, coordinate, and/or assist product validation testing, record/generate test reports describing test results and associated recommendations. A basic knowledge of RF communications and networking skills, management theory, communications protocols, techniques and tools is required.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Moving between offices and lab, sitting, carrying, speaking, hearing, seeing, and working with various types of test equipment and computers, lifting ~25-50lbs.
