Product Assurance Engineer - Space Industry

I am currently seeking an experienced Product Assurance Engineer to work with my client on an interesting space project in The Netherlands.

Some key information regarding the position is as follows:

Rate: Up to €70ph
Duration: 6 months (with possible extension)
Location: Leiden, Netherlands

Key Information:

The Client:
My client is a well established and well-known Space company based in The Netherlands. The specialise in the research and development of future space products ranging from Solar Array panels through to complete spacecraft designs.

The Role:
*Formulates Product Assurance plans (PA-plan), based upon existing PA-plans, set priorities and will act within projects as the PA-contact person to the customer.
*Is able to assess and keys external PA requirements with the internal organisation PA requirements and processes.
*Contributes to the emergence and maintenance of work packages.
*Monitors and manages, during project implementation, compliance with PA-requirements for design and detailed design.
*Intervenes at deviations and proposes measures for, escalates at the right level.
*Is familiar with configuration management.
*Is able to organise data, documentation, and product changes
*Shall monitor the implementation of existing and additional testing needed in different project phases, both internally and externally and intervenes at abnormalities.
*Presents reports on checks in all project phases from PA.
*Can fulfil the role of a project work package manager.

Function demands:
*Knowledge of general production processes,
*Knowledge of carbon fibre sandwich/aluminium products and the production processes would be an advantage
*Knowledge of function and structure of (parts of) solar panels, preferably including PVA,
*Familiarity with Product Assurance documents,
*Strong written communication skills
*Written and oral communication with externals, English it the technical language
*Dutch language skills would be an advantage but is not essential
*Confident, persuasive, tenacious, organised,
