Procurement Specialist

Procurement Specialist accountable for ensuring procurement best practice is adopted.

You will be a first point of contact within the business for advice and expertise, as well as an integral part of the buying team. You will enjoy a positive impact on performance, by challenging the way things are done, and ensuring a strong focus on effective processes. You will manage an assigned sub-category, to ensure short and long term value through formulation and implementation of sub category sourcing strategies to achieve the business objectives and/or the lowest Total Cost of Ownership, reporting to the Assets & Operations Category Manager.

You will:
* Generate transparency for sub-contracts and support Category Management
* Provide day-to-day interface of the procurement function to the business
* Assist demand planning with expert advice
* Assist development of sourcing, negotiation & contract strategies
* Drive RFP processes Negotiation and subsequent Downstream Contract
* Management of Contracts Support training will be given
* Candidates should be capable of operating with the minimum of guidance and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
