Procurement Officer

I am recruiting for 8 Procurement Officers for my public sector client, on a 6 month contract, paying £385 a day

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Achieving and reporting on savings and efficiencies achieved with costs including spend, scrappage, usage and inventory levels; Executing end to end procurement processes, including data collection, document preparation, negotiation, contract award, contract management and supplier relationship management; Managing communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders; Communicating priorities and business plans to internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring that all programmes and projects deliver to time, cost and quality requirements; Developing and motivating staff; Setting standards and values for the team, ensuring effective communications with staff are in place; Defining, analysing and interpreting financial data confidently.

EXPERIENCE:Procurement/commercial - 3 years Experience in directs/engineering products, medium or major projects Negotiation preparation and negotiation experience - recent OJEU experience is ideal Defence/maritime sector experience not necessary but useful SC not necessary but useful Excellent analytical and IT skills Good stakeholder and team work -track record Able to roll sleeves up - Agile and capable of integrating into Projects and contributing quickly Experience of ITT drafting and evaluation, clarifications etc - Recent Experience of spares procurement Experience of contract aggregation Experience of contracting for in-sourced/out-sourced service provision Expedition of parts and orders Contract extensions/renegotiations In addition to this candidates to have experience in these areas from a Commercial/Procurement perspective and not as an engineer or project manager ie have held positions with commercial responsibility for negotiating/drafting contracts, ideally with commercial delegation to commitment their organisation/company.
