The following PROCUREMENT MANAGER must have the following skills and experience:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- >3 years Proven working experience as a procurement manager or procurement officer
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the
- market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Good knowledge of IT supplier or third party management software
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analysing data
- Strong leadership capabilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Responsibility for regional sourcing strategy development
- Proactively and aggressively drive the global savings agenda
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships that are
- aligned with the Global Sourcing Strategy
- Drive sourcing professionalism and rigor across spend areas in a proactive manner
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure optimal TCO
- Plans, organizes and directs demand/contracting activities
- Development, monitoring, and realization of Procurement performance targets
- Initiate/proactively manage approval for the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Participate in major corporate, departmental and/or business initiatives and charter projects,
- resulting in tangible benefits at large, including total cost reduction initiatives and result
- tracking
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the
- company
- Engage stakeholders proactively, sell the value proposition of Procurement
- Optimize supply base on responsible sites and work towards total cost of ownership; develop
- supplier partnership at local/regional/global level
- Define and execute purchasing procedures (tendering, bidding generation and reviewing
- process) performs negotiating and contracting on the regional and local level, when not
- covered with regional/global contract; and is responsible for quality, delivery and costs
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- The Procurement Manager is responsible for delivering the sourcing objectives within the
- Region and jointly responsible for managing the suppliers and contracts (with the contract
- manager) to ensure delivery of high quality/large improvements that will support
- business objectives for growth and income results.
