Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager - Rugby - Competitive salary - 12 month FTC

Advantage resourcing are currently working with a leading Energy organisation who are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager based in Rugby for an initial 12 month fixed term contract.
You'll action in a timely manner placement of purchase orders in line with the business requirements, ensuring best practice is applied in relation to Quality, Cost and Delivery

The responsibilities include:

-Contributing to the development and implementation of purchasing systems and processes
-Resolving complex procurement issues to ensure customer satisfaction, analysing problems and initiating recovery of any liquidated damages due
-Assisting with the development and management of a team of buyers
-Implementation of the procurement strategy
-Providing material cost estimates for inclusion in commercial quotations
-Working with the quality function to measure and improve supplier performance
-Participating in company-wide sourcing activities
-Actively participate in LEAN Manufacturing initiative

You:

-Ideally educated to degree level and possess a CIPS qualification
-Have sound experience within a purchasing or sourcing role including implementation of sourcing or purchasing best practice and supplier performance improvement
-Have some managerial experience; be commercially and financially aware;
-Possess good communication and analytical, negotiating, relationship building and influencing skills.
-Full driving licence as the role will involve occasional travel in the UK and overseas.
