An opportunity exists for a Procurement Manager to lead the procurement process, advise on procurement approaches and manage the tender process. Government procurement experience is highly regarded and will make you stand out from the crowd.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to maintain sound relationships with key stakeholders, clients and suppliers
- Good negotiation skills
- Proficient understand of the government tender process
- Consistent and fair approach to business

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Proactively contact and develop a leadership and advice role to your internal clients in managing the contracting and procurement requirements of the client, taking into consideration industry trends such as E-procurement solutions and online ordering initiatives.
- Lead the contracting and procurement of departmental goods and services in order to ensure business objectives and government probity standards are met and quality is provided.
- Work with the General Manager to establish, plan and deliver of a program of procurement budget savings reform initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement service delivery including challenging the existing approach and tender/contract scope for continued relevance
