Procurement Lead

PROCUREMENT LEAD - COMMERCIAL ACUMEN, PROCUREMENT, PLOTTING RISK AND MITIGATION

A PROCUREMENT LEAD WITH experience of COMMERCIAL ACUMEN, PROCUREMENT, PLOTTING RISK AND MITIGATION is required to work on a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension for a high profile Government organisation based in Birmingham

OVERVIEW OF THE PROCUREMENT LEAD CONTRACT ROLE

You must define the business need and drafting tender documentation in correct form and in conjunction with MoJ Commercial and Contract Management Directorate.

You must secure contracts on analysis of the existing contracts, those required and the scope of work necessary

You will need to seek approval for a proposed set of actions and activity, this is how the Executive and Board will be kept up to date on progress.

You will need to do proposals for how key decisions will be taken a timeline featuring milestones and deliverable dates, you will need to do a plan setting out who will be engaged, why and how, a plan for transfer of skills and knowledge, and success measures, a risk log, plotting the risks and mitigation, and a plan showing how each of the contracts arising will be managed going forwards.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE PROCUREMENT LEAD

You will have strong commercial acumen
You must be good at making decisions
You must have experience of partnering and collaborating
You must have previously delivered at pace
