Procurement Lead

PROCUREMENT LEAD - G-CLOUD - GOVERNMENT FRAMEWORKS - MCIPS - SOFTWARE - HARDWARE ICT TECHNOLOGY CONTRACTS - CHANGE - AGILE

Role is split between London and Reading, will require candidate to be in Reading 3 days per week. Our well known content news body requires Procurement Lead to be responsible for the full life cycle of procurement including PQQ, Supplier Selection and ongoing supplier management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Identification of purchasing requirements through involvement with programme teams
- Ensuring that purchasing is initiated in line with programme milestones
- Ensuring all aspects of requirements are documented in a way that suppliers can respond appropriately
- Working with Procurement, Programme Management and existing supplier frameworks to define the selection process with EU Procurement Regulations
- Managing selection process
- Assisting with PQQ - pre-qualifying suppliers for invitation to tender
- Defining the selection criteria
- Negotiate the best price possible for IT Technology contracts

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Ideally professionally qualified eg MCIPS (or at final stages of qualification)
- EXPERIENCE OF G CLOUD AND OTHER GOVERNMENT FRAMEWORKS
- Experience with social media software procurement
- A proven procurement professional and either a Procurement Lead or Management capacity with comprehensive IT/ICT/Technology category knowledge with good practical understanding of procurement including tendering, negotiation and contract management
- Delivery experience within a broad-based Change Programme
- In depth understanding and application of legal issues: EU Public Procurement
