Procurement Governance Lead

Projektbeschreibung

My client is a leading a major transport programme and is in the process of developing a procurement team.

An experienced procurement professional is required to play a lead role in:
- Developing and implementing procurement governance, policy and process
- Gathering and planning spend and supplier information
- Implementing ERP, P2P and e-tendering systems
- Advising on applicable EU and UK procurement legislation and developments
- Developing a stakeholder map together with a comms and communication plan

Required experience:
- Excellent knowledge of EU and UK procurement legislation
- Demonstrable experience of developing procurement governance structures with supporting policy and processes
- Significant hands on procurement experience on large project procurements
- Awareness of government initiatives and policies
- A proven track record of operational effectiveness in a sophisticated Matrix structure, as both a leader and a team member
- MCIPS qualified ideally

In addition, previous experience of deploying ERP, P2P and etendering systems, OJEU and government framework experience, and some background working in the private sector would be beneficial
