Procurement Consultant (Major Projects), London, 6 months

A leading organisation with ties to the public sector is looking to add a Procurement Consultant to its major projects team on an initial 6 months basis. This organisation manage a number of key, high spend projects throughout the Public Sector and have a significant influence on the way public money is spent.

The successful candidate will have the remit of delivering procurement guidance throughout the life cycle of the projects and will lead on all negotiations, bids and stakeholder engagement in line with active projects within their remit.

Candidates must have significant commercial acumen and comprehensive experience of change management and transition projects - ideally within a complex environment driven by European procurement regulations. However, experience of working under OJEU regulations is not necessary a pre requisite. Candidates must have the gravitas to breed confidence at the most senior of stakeholders and be able to positively influence key spend decisions.

It is desirable, although not essential, that candidates are PRINCE 2 qualified and have UK Central Government procurement experience within a project environment.
