Are you a SC Cleared Procurement/Commercial Manager with experience of working within the Defence Sector and immediately available for a new assignment? Location is Bristol in the South West. Robert Half Resource Management is recruiting an Interim Procurement/Commercial Manager with contracts negotiation expertise. We also have a more junior role to work in the same team. The Role

The Commercial Team is one of two equipment delivery teams within a major programme.
They are responsible for the procurement and through-life support of a range of Vehicles most of which were originally procured under as Urgent Operational Requirements (UORs).
The post holder will support the Senior Commercial Officer with delivering commercial activity to support achievement of the business objectives whilst ensuring compliance with Commercial policy and Public Contract statutory obligations.
The Post Holders key responsibilities include:
1. Support the placement of contracts for new requirements and the management of existing contracts to include:-
a. Drafting contractual documentation, requests for quotation and invitation to tender for submission to Line Management (LM) for approval.
b. Resolution of queries raised by industry, project team staff and other stakeholders (seeking guidance and assistance from LM and subject matter experts where appropriate).
c. Assistance with the completion of outstanding pricing and Post Costing activity.
d. Timely administration of commercial files (both electronic and hard copy) to ensure an accurate audit trial is maintained.
2. Attendance at internal meetings to ensure effective commercial contribution to project planning and control, and timely completion of actions calling for commercial outputs.
3. Contribute to, and ensure all regular and ad-hoc briefing, statistical returns are accurate and submitted on time.
4. Closure of PMT Legacy contracts in accordance with Commercial policy and PMT Contract Closure Strategy.

§ Must hold valid SC clearance within the Defence Sector.
§ Must be CIPS qualified.
§ Proven track record working within the Defence/MOD sector on procurement/commercial contracts.
§ Previous responsibility for managing Commercial activities to sign contracts of up to £ 2.5 Million. The Company

Salary

§ Interim Procurement/Commercial Manager will receive up to £400 per day working on a Limited Company basis.
§ Location is Bristol in the South West, six month initial contract.
