Procurement Analyst

An opportunity exists for a Procurement Analyst to join a large government organization. Previous experience within the public sector will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Accountabilities:

- Plan for and administer the end to end procurement approach for hardware, software and ICT professional services
- Track and process annual software and support service renewals
- Develop and manage competitive bid processes through issuing request for quotations and/or proposals
- Run and analyse SAP reports to effectively manage contract spend
- Review Project Brief, Business Cases and Change Requests for understanding the ICT procurement requirements and opportunities
- Assist IT Procurement Manager - Process, Quality & Probity across all key responsibilities associated with IT Vendor & Sourcing Procurement Team including identifying process efficiencies, identification of potential risks or non-compliancy, etc.
- Ensure probity is upheld and best value for money is delivered through every ICT procurement and contract transaction
- Prepare/update procurement processes and procedures as required, including process improvement

Essential qualifications:

- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline
- ICT Procurement and ICT Sourcing experience
- Significant industry experience in relevant fields
- Basic understanding of standard project management and service management methodologies ie PMP, Prince2, ITIL
- Demonstrated experience with the MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Visio
- Ability to think and evaluate opportunities critically and strategically
- A willingness to seek advice and direction as required
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in liaising with employees at all levels and across multiple projects, and external parties
- ICT Supplier/vendor management

Desirable:

- Previous experience with automated tendering tools is desirable
- Energy utilities experience is desirable
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN TRIM RECORD MANAGEMENT
