Process Technician

Process Technician - West Midlands

Our client are looking for a Process Technician to join their busy team.

The company is a leading manufacturer, who deals with technologies relating to high stress components.

The ideal process technician will be able to understand and demonstrate quality awareness and procedures in practice, whilst being conscientious with an attention to detail. The ideal candidate needs to be highly motivated towards safety, and be able to demonstrate and understand safe working practices, ensuring PPE is worn at all times.

The successful process technician will need to be able to work and communicate within a team environment, show enthusiasm and have a drive for continuous improvement.

Main duties will include:

*To calibrate all equipment required to carry out the required process
*Operate computer controlled and standard Peening machines and process components to the data card and customer specification.
*Carry out process validation, generating new methods to meet customer drawing parameters and specification in the most efficient, timely manner
*Involvement in trials on new opportunities
*Carry out accurate thorough machine checks to the expected standard

Having an Engineering qualification to at least NVQ Level 2 or above and an ability to read drawings and interpret specifications is important.

Previous knowledge of the aerospace industry is desirable, as is knowledge and experience of LEAN Manufacturing.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a pioneering company.

The contract is initially for 3 months, but is likely to extend based on performance. There is also a high chance of a contract to permanent role.
