Process Technician

Yoh has a one year contract opportunity available for a PROCESS TECHNICIAN to join our client in Gloucester, MA.

Client Overview:

Our client, Applied Materials/Varian Semiconductor Equipment is a leading manufacturer of ion implantation systems, powering the Internet, the PC, telecommunications and the information age. Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates, Inc. (VSEA) designs, manufactures, and services semiconductor processing equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits. They are dedicated to meeting the exacting demands of IC production and satisfying the ion implantation needs of IC manufacturers worldwide

Job Responsibilities:

- Maintain consignment system with our wafer vendor.
- Monitor the inventory of the solar and semi-grade wafers for VSE.
- Maintain cycle count with an accuracy of 99.9%.
- Provide traceable movement of the wafers and manage physical inventory audits.
- Issue the solar and semi-grade wafers to the entire VSE's requestors (engineers, manufacturing, apps development).
- Conduct the data-entry of the wafer issuance through the SAP system, and apps lab's internal tracking sheet.
- Transfer implanted/processed wafers to be reclaimed and coordinate with offsite lab for the pickup/drop-off of the reclaim wafers.
- Separate wafers by type (N or P) and Track wafer counts prior to shipment to wafer Reclaim site.
- Assist in handling/shipping of chemicals, toxic waste, and wafers for the applications lab.
- Support process engineers in tracking/shipping/receiving customer wafers for demonstration and process transfer development.

Job Qualifications:

- Degree or related experience.
- Experience working in the semiconductor or solar industry.
- Must be computer savvy.
- Experience with SAP a plus.

The above listed position(s) involves access to export controlled technology which is subject to U.S. Department of Commerce export control regulations. Otherwise qualified candidates must meet these export control requirements or a deemed export license from the Commerce Department before a final job offer can be extended.
