The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is the largest funder of environmental science in the UK. We invest 300 million each year in research, training and innovation through UK universities and research centres. Our scientists study and monitor the whole planet from pole to pole, from deep Earth and oceans to upper atmosphere and space. NERC Swindon Office is responsible for the management of our science and innovation funding portfolio, manage and coordinate NERC's corporate communications activities, provide corporate support services such as HR, Finance and IT and coordinate NERC's business performance management and governance activities.

We are seeking to appoint a Process Improvement Manager to help us to improve our organisational performance through delivery of Lean business improvement methodology. You will develop and implement an engagement strategy, whilst leading and supporting collaborative improvement projects across the organisation and ensuring the sustainability of improvements and benefits realisation.

You must have proven application of Lean improvement methodology and are likely to be an accredited Lean practitioner. You will be able to demonstrate successful experience of leading and delivering change and improvement projects using Lean. Strong influencing and interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills are also essential.
