My client is looking for a Process Engineer to join a team of Process engineers on a contract basis. The successful candidate will provide Process Engineering input to Front End engineering design studies and detailed design projects including basis of safety and design philosophies. As well writing proposals and providing process engineering support and consultancy services to a wide verity of client projects.

Therefore, the ideal candidate will have suitable process design experience and be suitably qualified in chemical engineering. Candidates would also benefit from knowledge of process integration with Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Instrumentation and Mechanical Engineering.

Experience within one or more of the following industries would be advantageous: Pharmaceuticals, Biopharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Manufacturing, Downstream Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, Distillation, FMCG.

The Ideal candidate will be able to display a competent Process Engineering knowledge/experience of

Effluent Treatment, Vent Treatment, Relief Systems, Fluid Flow & Piping, Bulk Storage, Pumps (pump sizing, pump calculations), Compressors, Heat Transfer, Fired Heaters/Incinerators, Reactors, Column Design, Filtration, Drying, Solids Handling, Utility Generation & Distribution Systems, Remote Operated Shut-off Valves.

Additional experience might include
.HAZOP (Hazard & Operability Study), CHAZOP (Control Hazard and Operability Study), SIL Assessments, Hazardous Area Classification (HAC), ATEX/DSEAR, Safety Engineering Review (SER), PHSER (Project Health Safety & Environment Review), COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards)

Applicants will also be expected to have basic/working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook. Specialist experience in software such as MS Project, Visio, HAZOP6, PHAST, AutoCAD would be an advantage but is not a requirement
