Process Engineer

Process Engineer with Oil & Gas experience (upstream preferred) for a contract assignment in Bakersfield, CA You will be contributing to projects for production surface facilities and treatment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop the design basis, develop PFD diagrams, and develop the P&ID's
- Perform calculations to specify equipment, i.e., Pumps, Compressors, Separators, Heaters, Heat exchangers, columns etc.
- Prepare data sheets and specifications for equipment procurement
- Perform Hydraulic Calculations
- Work with Controls Engineer to develop the control philosophy
- Interface with client and other discipline personnel internally to finalize the design

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's Degree: Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in Upstream production, oil & gas background a plus but will consider those with downstream refining experience
- PSV calculation experience - highly desired
- Working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Project)
- Familiarity with applicable codes: ASME,API, ANSI, NACE
- Preferred software experience: HYSYS, Pro-2, Pro-max, Pipe Phase, SiNet
