Process Engineer

This is an opportunity for a Process Engineer to work on the design of proprietary sand handling and produced water treatment equipment for the oil and gas industry, both offshore and onshore. This position requires a highly capable Process Engineer / Chemical Engineer with significant experience of working in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously. The detailed responsibilities of this role will include the following process support functions:

-Review of client requirements and specifications.
-Development of process schemes and PFDs, including heat & mass balances. This may include modelling various processes using simulation software e.g. HYSYS.
-Development of P&IDs, including selection and sizing of proprietary equipment and general process items, such as pumps, separators, PSVs, pipework and control valves.
-Produce process documentation, including Cause and Effect charts.
-Produce commissioning and operation and maintenance manuals.
-Participate in HAZOPs, SIL assessments, and LOPAs.
-Provide process support to instrumentation and mechanical disciplines completing instrument datasheets, optimising equipment layout with respect to process requirements etc.
-Work in compliance with the companies QA and HSE standards.
-Undertake field trials, commissioning and troubleshooting on offshore and onshore sites, in the UK and overseas.
