Process Control Engineer

We are working on behalf of a global pharmaceutical organisation based in Macclesfield. They are now looking to recruit an experienced Process Controls Engineer.

THE ROLE

The Process Control Engineer will support and enable the development, implementation and improvement of a variety of control systems using current best practice, tools and techniques. They are responsible for ensuring the delivery of the appropriate level of engineering support to maintain agreed levels of plant availability and functionality combined with GXP and Safety/Environmental compliance requirements throughout the life cycle of the system. The role also plays a key part in supporting the delivery of site based projects including Computer Validation. The role holder will identify and manage obsolescence and improvement projects in their area of responsibility.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Qualified to degree level in an engineering or related subject. Or Equivalent work based experience

Recognised Electrical and/or Instrumentation qualification to a minimum of HNC or equivalent level.

Significant work related experience in an automated manufacturing and/or process control/computerised environment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- PLCs (basic programming knowledge, and fault finding skills) - We have a wide base of PLCs installed including Siemens, Allen Bradley, and B&R
- SCADA/HMI Software
- Qualification & Validation of computer systems
- Vision Systems, Data Integrity and Systems Control
- Basic understanding of Network Systems and IT Infrastructure
- Data Management and Integrity
- Understanding/Knowledge of GAMP
