Pro-E Design Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a PRO-E DESIGN ENGINEER to join our client in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create 3D CAD models for new products and complete detailed 2D drawing packages for new products utilizing applicable government standards and industry standards, primarily ANSI Y14.5M-1994, MIL-STD-100, and Design Engineering Standards Manual.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis on new designs.
- Update current production drawing packages and 3D CAD models by writing and incorporating Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) utilizing manual drawing techniques as well as CAD.
- Generate drawings and sketches for fabrication of Engineering Development, prototypes, and components for testing.
- Verify envelope and dimensional constraints are met, assign density properties to parts, and calculate weight and center of gravity.
- Responsibilities may also include doing manual edits of older drawing TIFF image files and checking drawings of other designers.
- Must be willing to create or improve design work instructions and design related process documentation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associates degree is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years working experience with Pro/E required (Catia V5 experience also desired).
- Experience with 3D CAD model creation, 2D drawing packages, tolerance stack-up analysis, and familiarity with government standards.
