Principal Systems Engineer

Principal Systems Engineer required to work on a customer site and perform the below tasks:

Requirements capture and derivation.
Involved in functional design and responsibility for significant systems design decisions and sub-system level analysis tasks.
Manage changes to the solution/design while continuing to communicate the changes to the team.
Deliver to agreed performance targets.
Using technical expertise to solve problems, generate ideas and be pro-active within the team.
Support bid preparation and work closely with other key members of the team.
Liaise with Customer and Partner companies.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and the ability to interact with subject matter experts regarding a wide range of technical and operational topics.
Experience in developing system designs, particularly within the EW domain.
Ability to demonstrate extensive domain knowledge in at least one technical specialism relevant to the EW sector.
Sound understanding of the CONOPS analysis, Requirements Management, System Design Process (including System and Sub-System Specification).
Experienced in the production of System verification and validation evidence to support the certification of design process.
Ability to develop innovative technical solutions, compliant with requirements within agreed programmes and timescales.
Ability to liaise with internal projects and external companies.
Self motivated team player capable of working with minimum direction.
Experience of working with Requirements engineering tools (DOORS), Mathematical analysis tools (Matlab/Simulink), system design tools (MODAF/UML).
Experience gained within System Design/System Architectures.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
