Principal Reservoir Engineer

In addition to the field and reservoir studies, we are heavily involved in reserves certifications and asset valuations. These teams are formed from all of the sub-surface disciplines, and the successful candidate would participate in these activities. A full understanding of reserves certification methodologies and project economics would be a strong advantage for the candidate to contribute in this area. Our studies are truly global - around half of our work is on non-UK fields, and we perform the study work in our Aberdeen offices.

The teamleaders for any of the study and valuation activities are selected from the discipline team members (player-manager), and chosen on whoever is the most appropriate. There is significant scope for the Senior Reservoir Engineer to participate in this role.

The qualifications required are a minimum of ten years of experience working with an operator or servicecompany in the oil and gas sector, with a BSc or equivalent in the sciences.

Our people are generally individuals who would like to move from a constrained corporate environment to role where they are given the freedom to express their ideas and develop and nurture client relationships. The person will be:

* Strong reservoir simulation and analytical modelling experience using any industry standard software
* Exposure to working within an operator an advantage
* Experience in field development planning and asset evaluation
* Able to lead a small team and QC product
* A good communicator and team player

We have developed a series of training courses which are delivered in-house for clients. There is an opportunity for the candidate to learn and deliver some of these courses, but this is not a pre-requisite for the position.

Renumeration for the position is excellent, package totalling well into the 6 Figure Range.
