Principal Project Leader

PRINCIPAL PROJECT LEADER - COMBAT SYSTEMS, SCHEDULING, DEFENCE

A Principal Project Leader with Combat Systems, Scheduling and Project Management experience is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Frimley.

This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.

OVERVIEW OF THE PRINCIPAL PROJECT LEADER CONTRACT ROLE

A Principal Project Leader is required to explore the supply of hardware for the Combat System on a replacement platform. You would be responsible for running competitions, generating statements of work, developing selection criteria and ensuring all aspects of the projects are fully defined to ensure customer requirements are achieved in accordance with business and commercial criteria.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE PRINCIPAL PROJECT LEADER

- Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline or experience to offset.
- Strong Project Management experience.
- MOD/Defence background.
- Scheduling experience (ideally using MS Project)
- Experience of generating reports for senior management
- Experience of tracking projects through earned value.
- Experience of running competitions.
- Experience of generating statements of work.
- Configuration management experience.
- Experience of managing build standard baselines.

The role is based in Surrey - commutable from Hounslow, Twickenham, Kingston upon Thames, Mitcham, Croydon, Sutton, Epsom, Leatherhead, Weybridge and Staines with excellent access from London, Hampshire and Berkshire
