Principal Hardware / Software Engineer

I am currently recruiting for a Principal Hardware / Software engineer to work in Oxfordshire. Salary £45,000 - £55,000. You will be working for an organisation who are world-leading suppliers of dashboard instruments, data acquisition, TPMS and ruggedized video systems. The organisation is recognised for its engineering excellence. They are continually looking at how they can better their products / competitors products to be the best and as a result are often the first in the world do develop specific products within their field. Whilst still having a dominant position in the motor sport market which is where they started they now also work heavily within Defence, Automotive and the Test and Measurement domains. All in all their tagline is "To be the Best" and to back this up specialise within making premium products. The Person: You should be an "all round" engineer and someone who gets a real buzz out of designing high quality products from concept through to manufacture. You should have at least 7 years experience of delivering products (ideally for hard environments). This role is for someone who can do both the Hardware and Software. Starting with the schematic capture and PCB design working all the way through to the verification testing (which may be besides a race track!). On top of the above you should also have experience with the following technicalities listed below: - Schematic design capture and PCB layout design - Analogue and Digital Hardware design - Real- Time Embedded C and Assembler design - CAN, Ethernet, UART, USB, RS232, RS485, TCP etc. If you have the required skill set and level of experience please get in touch ASAP.
