Principal Business Analyst Job

PRINCIPAL BUSINESS ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist the Resource Forecasting team to track, forecast, analyze fluctuations, and The individual in this role will use software packages (eg Excel and Planisware) to analyze financial/resource data, spot trends and develop forecasts.
- Additionally the person in this role will work with a variety of people across the company to perform his/her job; and therefore to be successful will have strong skills in communication.
- Organize, interpret, communicate, and present information effectively cross-functionally and with member of Senior Management.
- Utilize analytic and project management skills to motivate, coach, and serve as a role model for project team members.
- Managing functional budgeted resources by utilizing Plansiware and excel to track organizational resource utilization.
- Assist the Resource Forecasting team to develop, update, and maintain resourcing algorithms.
- Develop and update resourcing/financial models and perform regression analysis as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual budget preparation, which will include completing resourcing templates and Powerpoint presentations/graphs to depict forecast vs actual.
- Manage competing timelines and prioritize critical tasks.
- Provide project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting. Develop, maintain and distribute ad hoc reports and financial models as needed.
- Leverage experience to take responsibility for and manage projects and client relationships, drive business and strategy development, and direct multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prepare complex documentation impacting major projects, maintain and demonstrate knowledge of resources throughout multiple department/functional areas, facilitate process mapping sessions for highly complex, multi-functional business processes, and demonstrate advanced communication techniques in the facilitation of conflict resolution and presentation skills.
- Create and maintain processes for internal management of work and website for organizing and sharing completed work.
- Understanding how to elicit and translate business requirements into associated process maps and business models.
- Willingness and aptitude for mentoring/training other team members.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics required
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in project management
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis.
- This position requires a good understanding of the concepts of clinical research and drug development.
- Candidate must be able to work effectively in a Matrix environment and communicate clearly with all levels of the organization.
- The successful candidate must have very good leadership, problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated skills in effective verbal and written communications including presentations, personal organization, business process mapping, managing change in a team environment and analytical problem solving.
- Experience in biotech/pharma industry a plus
- Experience with Planisware a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel, Powerpoint & Access)
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong reporting and analysis skills
- Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
