Pressure Rig Operator

To operate a Pressure vessel and it controls to carry out pressure tests of up to 30,000psi. Complete setup tasks and where required basic assembly, wiring and soldering tasks to pre-defined standards and instructions.

- Operation of pressure vessel
- Liaise with Production staff and Engineering team to ensure maximum utilization of Pressure vessel is achieved.
- Inspection and scoping of adaptors, jigs and fixtures required for operations.
- Complete housekeeping tasks for assigned work area.
- Liaise with engineering team to ensure maintenance operations are completed on time with minimum disruption to operations.
- Capable of reading and working to engineering drawings, assembly drawings, assembly instructions and wiring schedules.
- Must be able to read drawings, bills of materials & follow shop documentation.
- Able to use bench tools applicable to mechanical assembly and soldering.
- Simple testing of assemblies including electrical safety checks eg Megger.
- Flexible approach to working hours to achieve production targets
- Able and willing to learn new skills
- Work to quality standards ie ISO/QS9000
- Ability to train others
- To be proactive in ensuring that health and safety is first priority. Including both company employees and those of the suppliers & customers.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- Engineering apprenticeship or similar training, experience in a manufacturing/production environment is preferable.
- Previous experience operating pressure vessels is preferable
- PC literate
- Flexible approach to working hours to achieve production targets
