PR and Media Relations Manager

PR AND MEDIA RELATIONS MANAGER with STRONG MEDIA BACKGROUND required for 6 MONTH CONTRACT with PUBLIC SECTOR organisation near DUMBARTON.

Duties will include:

- Provide an effective media relations service, ensuring relationships with key media contacts are developed and maintained, and that information is disseminated effectively regarding events, activities and achievements of public interest
- Assist in delivering a high quality news service through the provision of news releases, features and articles for a range of media
- Provide clear and effective internal communications
- Support the communications function by planning PR and media activity in advance
- Provide ongoing monitoring of media coverage

Essential experience required:

- Strong PR and media relations management experience
- Wider media understanding (social, digital)
- Broadcast media experience
- Experience in writing press releases, briefings, statements, articles and internal communication material and copy
- Reputation management experience
- Full UK driving licence

It would be highly desirable for the successful candidate to hold a professional qualification and university degree in PR and media as well as be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations
