PPI Transformation Manager (FTC/Secondment)

Reporting to the Head of Historical Complaint Operations this is a new role which will be responsible for the management of the day to day operations of the Historical BAU Complaints teams and also responsible for delivering new policy and process change into the PPI Operation and leading the day to day operations of the teams that are set up to deliver the new policy and processes.

The PPI Transformation Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of projects across Retail Banking & Savings, and Mortgage & Lending areas and will need to have stakeholder management skills across the leadership team as well as supportingresources, some of these may be temporary / fixed term resources to provide flexibility.

As PPI Transformation Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

* Manage a team of number of concurrent projects project and specialist resources to deliver a portfolio of projects. This will include full line management responsibilities, team development, and budgetary responsibility for travel and other expenditure. (The team may include an element of temporary specialist resources and the manager will have a responsibility for forecasting, recruiting, and maintaining the headcount level appropriate to the needs of projects in the portfolio within budgets)
* Full lifecycle end to end project management and delivery of multiple large and / or complex projects including:
o Scoping, definition, benefits analysis and prioritisation
o Resourcing projects
o Project Planning and resource impact analysis
o Risk and Issue management and resolution
o Communications / training
o Role out planning and execution
o Benefit analysis and post implementation lessons
* The Programme Manager will have the ability to determine the appropriate approach and methodologies to use across the projects within their portfolio.
* Manage and balance / apply resources to ensure the most effective project delivery to meet priorities within a matrix / pooled resource environment
* The role will involve working with multiple and senior stakeholders up to Director level - in particular this role will require a solid relationship to be built with the business area director together with stakeholder management..
* Capacity and Budget Management
* Delivering and designing Operating models
* Managing complaints capacity models.
* Managing complaints budget models
* Designs, implements and maintains appropriate mechanisms for monitoring performance against the plan and initiating corrective actions as required.

As a PPI Transformation Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

* Significant project management experience across a wide variety of project types including projects that are high impact / high visibility, complex and demanding, together with appreciable experience of managing a team with responsibility for multiple projects ideally within retail banking and financial services
* Highly developed communication skills including an ability to influence senior stakeholders inside and outside of own organisation and having an appropriate level of political awareness
* Proven man management and leadership capability at a senior level
* Proven ability to understand complex changes and determine potential impact points to ensure appropriate stakeholders have been identified and communicated to
* Strong experience of process improvement.
* Professional with broad business experience in the financial sector.
* Proven diagnostic, problem solving and decision making skills.

Since you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders extensively, you will need to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, Also, to be successful in this role you will need to be able to effectively prioritise actions and resources to deliver against objectives and demonstrate sound judgement, balance risk and practicality to determine appropriate actions/solutions.

The Reward

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 plus benefits
