Powertrain Project Egineer

Powertrain Project Engineer Required 12 months - East Midlands

My client is currently seeking an experienced engineer for a powertrain contract, supporting the engine assembly teams, in their West-Midlands base.

The key responsibilities for this role include;

*Preparing technical reports and feasibility studies.
*Working on engine components.
*Applying previous methods and manufacturing ways, to new models and lines.
*Adapting old mechanical parts to be used in the new project.
*Presenting key ideas and findings in a presentation format to board of directors/managers.

The successful project engineer will be/will have;
*Previous experience with powertrain automotive machinery is desirable, however not compulsory.
*Experienced with adapting machinery to different lines of use.
*A good, clear understanding of mechanical systems.
*A hands-on engineer.
*Previous experiences with immovable deadlines and targets.
*Previous experience of reading technical drawings and being able to navigate CAD systems is desirable, however not essential, and basic understanding will be considered.

The client I am working with is a high influential, global company, specifically focusing on powertrains with this new project, however, having a presence of the automotive industry. The contract in question is for 12 months, with the potential for an extension with the right employee. The rate is negotiable and competitive, depending on experience and skill.
