SUMMARY:

Our Client is a leading provider of cutting-edge prepaid products, services and transaction technologies to retailers, brands and consumers. Our client supports more than 400,000 points of distribution and helps retailers build prepaid card destinations, connects brands with new markets and gives consumers a simple, secure shopping experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Contract PostgreSQL DBA needed to help support current applications and platforms using PostgreSQL/Open SOurce Databases.
- Must be adept at configuration, installation, support and administration including performance tuning, troubleshooting, etc.
- Any experience with Oracle Databases or Oracle Ebusiness Suite is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4+ years experience in supporting PostgreSQL databases. Install and configure PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience with database design, data model, and code development in Postgres and Oracle.
- Experience working with developer in reviewing and tuning code.
- Experience with PostgreSQL replications, backup/recovery.
- Experience with Linux and Shell Scripting.
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Committed to  standardization process, and documentation.
- Experience as Oracle DBA with RAC and ASM in UNIX environment.
- Ability to work out-of-office hour, and supporting the on-call rotation (7x24 support).
- Experience in code migration, database change management through various stages of development life cycle.
- Desirable: Experience as Oracle Applications DBA, supporting Oracle eBusiness
