Postdoctoral Fellow-Volumetric Musculoskeletal Imaging

Projektbeschreibung

A post-doctoral position in musculoskeletal imaging is being offered with emphasis on optimizing volumetric imaging acquisition, development of novel imaging devices and use of volumetric imaging to enhance diagnosis. Specific existing research projects include statistical shape and density modeling of joints, contrast-enhanced CT imaging of articular cartilage metabolism, MR imaging of joints, contrast-enhanced CT imaging of soft tissues such as tendon and ligament, clinical imaging using CT and MRI, and PET imaging of soft tissues. Investigators are currently collaborating with research scientists at various universities and a private company to develop a new CT scanner for horses using cone beam technology. Future projects would include PET/CT imaging of musculoskeletal diseases, optimization of contrast CT methods and further development of imaging devices.
