Portfolio Reconciliation Specialist - Contract

Valuations, Root Cause Analysis, OTC Derivative, EMIR, Collateral and Margin Services (CMS)

My client, a leading Investment Bank, is looking for a number of Portfolio Reconciliation Specialist's on a contract basis, in London. The successful candidate will be interacting with a variety of teams and should be prepared and able to constantly follow up with the areas in order to obtain the required resolution.

Key responsibilities:

- Reconciling cross asset class portfolios with clients on a frequent basis
- Providing root cause analysis for portfolio discrepancies
- Producing monthly MIS on the number of breaks resolved and the economic impact.
- Working closely across operations to implement a proactive approach to dispute resolution.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with the clients industry counterparts
- Working with Middle Office functions within the Interest Rate, Fixed Income, Equity, FX, Commodities and Credit businesses

Key requirements:

- Experience within Financial Services/Banking industry, or with strong desire to develop a career in Banking
- Confident in dealing with groups outside of immediate team (Sales, Trading, Product Control, Credit, Legal).
- Willingness to quickly develop the role via IT and process changes to improve control, automation and levels of sophistication
- Able to multi-task and prioritise accordingly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
