Portfolio Planner

DESCRIPTION:

The Portfolio planner is responsible to identify, evaluate, prioritize, select, execute, and monitor the portfolio of programs and projects that optimize our clients goal. This individual will collaborate on strategic plans while facilitating tactical execution of current projects.

The Portfolio Planner is responsible for the following business management related activities:

- Solid leadership, relationship management and negotiation capabilities including excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create detailed, well-written documentation for a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated track record of influencing up and across to medium or large projects
- Excellent data and process analysis skills
- Proficiency in quickly transforming data into information suitable for executive decision making
- Experience balancing speed, accuracy and adherence to standards while delivering processes/reports/analysis
- Strong problem solving capability; able to develop detailed requirements, action plans, analysis approach or processes within a predetermined set of boundary conditions
- Demonstrated capability to contribute to driving organizational change
- Experience contributing to communication plans, presentations, education materials, etc. necessary for large scale change
- Established track record of thriving and succeeding in highly dynamic, short timeline environment
- Experience maintaining composure in high stress and/or tight deadline situations
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering results and exhibiting resiliency in times of failure
- Adaptable to changes in work environment (eg, role w/in team, work assignments, reporting relationships, etc.)
- High level of proficiency with PPM (Project and Portfolio Management), Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word; and proficiency with analysis/reporting tools, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.
- Actively participate and contribute to the portfolio planning processes, help shape/understand and prioritize key business initiatives.
- Allocate and manage resource assignments across multiple IT projects.
- Active member of the Portfolio Execution and Resource Management forums

DEMANDS:

- Proven experience with portfolio planning within large companies
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience with transformations/reorganizations in International companies
- Extensive experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Business Object etc.;
- Telecom background is a pre
- Work Experience within large companies and international environments;
- Master degree (WO/MBA) is a pre;
- Experience with Clarity is a pre;
- Ambitious self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can successfully deliver in a key role that has broad global responsibilities and high visibility with senior leadership.
