PLM Business Analyst

Our client is in a period of positive change and growth. These changes require new systems, applications and processes to facilitate aggressive vehicle programme plans and expansion of business into new geographies. To support this, our client requires an analyst/project manager to gather, validate and rationalise immediate and forthcoming business requirements for product development and manufacturing applications. Once validated, these requirements will feed application deployment and availability plans that will be formed and coordinated with the delivery functions responsible for the deployment of applications and systems.

The person must have experience of working in the manufacturing industry, preferably automotive
They must understand the product creation system/life cycle, and where specific applications fit into the different parts of the process. They must also be comfortable with the UK Engineering culture, and able to sensibly and sensitively manage the various demands and expectations of the various stakeholders.

Summary of Requirements:

Experience of working in European/UK manufacturing industry, with knowledge of Product Creation System(s)

Good understanding of the various (PLM) applications required to support product development and manufacturing, and where they fit in the product development life cycle

Reasonable knowledge and understanding of general IT (although non-essential as other departments will focus on this area and are able to support)

Ability to gather and rationalise business requirements

Ability to manage expectations across a range of stakeholders
-

May involve travel
