PLC Programmer

A key client of mine based in the Essex area have a requirement for a PLC Programmer. The contract will be for an initial 3 month period.

Overall Purpose of the Job

The PLC Programmer is responsible for specifying, modifying and designing systems, and taking responsibility for the engineering component of these systems.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

*Produce Functional Design Specifications from customer specifications
*Modify Drop In Panels from Previous Project
*Modify Existing PLC Control Cabinets from Previous Project
*Design Interface for Portable Control Panels
*Re-validate existing Portable Control Panel design (existing design believed to have parts obsolescence issues)
*Produce production drawings for equipment (Mechanical Drawings, Assembly drawings, Electrical schematics, Bills of Material etc)
*Modify Existing PLC Software
*Modify Existing HMI Software
*Test Equipment in preparation for FAT Test.
*Write Operation and Maintenance Manuals
*Follow schedules and tasks assigned by the Systems Engineering Manager

*Mitsubishi Q-Series PLC
*Mitsubishi CC-Link I/O Modules
*GX IEC Developer Software
*E-Designer HMI Software
*E-Plan P8 Software
*Ladder Logic, Function Block and Structured Text
