Plant Manager - 3 Month Contract - Immediate Start

We are recruiting for one of the nation's largest commercial companies who provide an extensive range of construction services including construction management, general contracting, design and build and preconstruction.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive Plant Manager to join our team in Maidenhead on a 3 month temporary contract. As the successful candidate you will have vast Hire Desk experience and be able to carry out a variety of Plant activities within the Rail project team.

Key Requirements

- hire desk experience
- raise hires, sales, quotations and purchase orders
- co-ordinate heavy machinery and cranes for project use
- arrange transport of deliveries and collections
- carry out Road-Rail equipment activities
- hire and coordinate Plant movements on site
- responsible for carrying out estimates for materials, tools/plant & labour needed and place orders accordingly
- contact suppliers and customers by phone/email
- liaise with other depots as required
- negotiate hire and transport rates
- assist with queries and provide responses
- management of colleagues
- ad-hoc duties as and when required
