PLANT - LAB TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Wilmington, DE

With guidance from supervision, primary responsibility is to assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research. Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist lab researchers in their on-going experiments.
- Duties include (but not limited to) initiating cultures, maintaining stock tissues, changing media for cultures, conducting transformation experiments, transferring plants from tissue culture to soil, caring for growth chamber or greenhouse plants.
- Provide support and be a part of a high throughput molecular biology and plant growth/phenotyping facility.
- Skilled in HTP PCR in a laboratory setting.
- HTP PCR setup, evaluation using HTP electrophoresis, bacterial culture and plasmid prep.
- Responsible for the preparation and evaluation of Arabidopsis plants.
- Nursery related responsibilities will include soil preparation, seeding, plant care, plant transformation, and seed collection.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- An Agriculture Science or Biology degree is required.
- Knowledge and experience in Molecular Biology is preferred.
- Experience working with plants is a plus.
- Detail oriented with ability to take accurate data, with an eye towards consistency and reproducibility is essential.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team are crucial.
