Plant Health Project Support Officer

My Edinburgh based client is seeking a Plant Health Project Support Officer/Project Support Officer for a 3 month contract starting the 6th January 2014.

The Plant Health Project Support Officer/Project Support Officer would provide support to the client's Head and Deputy Head of Plant Health in relation to a range of project tasks.

Key Work Areas:Contingency planning in relation to the threat from invasive forest pests and diseases and the review and revision of the client's Plant Health's web site content..

Experience Required for the Plant Health Project Support Officer/Project Support Officer:
* The candidate should have relevant work experience in a technical office and project based environment, although candidates who are exceptionally qualified and have relevant Professional and Technical Expertise will also be considered.
* Has the ability to work with minimum supervision, confident in taking appropriate decisions and recognising when to refer issues to managers.

Professional and Technical Expertise
* A degree level qualification or background in forestry, environmental management or a related subject is desirable but not essential.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Shares ideas, experience and knowledge.
* Chooses content, style and language to suit audience and context.
* Produces concise and persuasive written drafts, identifying the key issues, examining options and proposing a way head.
* Prioritises and organises their time and resources effectively to meet agreed deadlines and objectives.
