Planning Manager

* Support the Sector's planning activities across all the airports served by the Sector * Manage the planning service on tenders and projects across all the airports served by the Sector. Make planning and programme presentations on tenders and projects * Management of a small team of planners where appropriate * Office based or site based as an integral part of the bid or project teams as necessary * Liaise with the Clients and Stakeholders: understanding their delivery processes and providing a programme service on the wider aspects of the delivery process from options to handover * Contribute to pre-contract meetings to explain the planning aspects of the contracts * Involvement with Project & Framework Teams in all aspects of project planning, programming and progress monitoring, including ECI, design, information flow, procurement, site works/installation, asset and operational integration, and handover * Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and designers on all matters relating to planning * Appraise, co-ordinate and integrate subcontract and design programmes * Attend and contribute to site meetings, design meetings and coordination meetings and other associated meetings as appropriate * Optimisation of coordinated plans and programmes to minimise disruption and to achieve the SHE objectives * Identify, assess & advise on resource issues that are critical to the programme Communication of plans, programmes and impacts * Management of change in regards of impact on programmes and progress * Advise on programme implications to both Client put all our activities on a time basis * Provide supervision, mentoring and coaching to Planners & Graduates/Trainees * Part of the Planning Leadership Group and Planning Group Provide pier reviews of programmes and arrange reviews with interested parties. You MUST be CURRENTLY based in the UK to be considered for this position and you will nee to be able to demonstarte experience in a similar position.
