I am currently in the process of recruiting for a planner/estimator for a large engineering client of mine based in Dorset. This will be a 6 month contract initially.
I am specifically looking for someone with an engineering background and more specifically with heavy structures and fabrications. Ideally you will be form an Oil & Gas background although this is not essential. You will be involved in taking specs from a customer and estimating what the likely cost would be. You will also be responsible for liaising with the shop floor team/welders etc and defining a "parts list" or "job card" of components and materials that need to be used for example.

Creating job cards and parts lists
Liaising with shop floor team and customers
Heavy structures and fabrications
Rate - negotiable
Duration - 6 months rolling
Location - Dorset.
