Place Planning Consultant

Currently working with a London Borough who are keen to engage an interim consultant to;

1. Develop and deliver a strategy to meet increasing demand for early years, primary, secondary and post 16 education places in the borough for the next 10 years.

2. Complete a review of current place planning and capital projects management arrangements, in particular working across council departments, with recommendations for sustained improvement.

You must have the following skills and experience;

* Comprehensive understanding of legislation, processes and procedures relating to place planning, school expansion and the development and commissioning of new schools
* Substantial experience of developing and delivering an effective and sustainable place planning strategy to meet increasing demand in a local authority area
* Understanding of the current challenges in relation to place planning in London and experience in overcoming these
