PL/SQL DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Irving Texas.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Design, develop, and test data processes per business requirements, following the development standards and best practices as well as participate in code peer reviews to ensure our applications comply with best practices
- Work with Business analysts to gather business requirements from end users and translate them into technical specifications.
- Gather requirements to define data definitions, transformation logic, and data model logical and physical designs, data flow and process.
- Perform data analysis on input and output data using the tools available, and solve any data related queries or issues.
- Provide end-user support in post-deployment phases; assess and evaluate all feedback to ensure that the requirements necessary to correct issues are addressed.
- Source-to-target mappings and data analysis
- Being a core developer for the EDW, data marts (star schema)
- Assists developers with difficult Oracle PL/SQL code needed for queries, triggers, and stored procedures
- Design, develop, implement and maintain custom oracle applications written in PL/SQL.
- Controls all changes through a formalized change request process
- Test solutions to validate whether requirements have been met; develop test plans, test scripts, and test conditions based on the business and system requirements
- Conducts reviews of developed code
- To be responsible for providing technical guidance/solutions
- To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
- To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
- Take ownership of projects and manage statuses and timelines effectively
- Designs data marts to support Business Intelligence reporting using Business Objects.
- Perform data analysis and data profiling against source systems and data warehouse

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must already be sufficiently competent in dimensional data modelling to design data warehouses and data marts using SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of slowly changing dimensions, partitioning, and basic data warehousing concepts (both in theory and as applies to PL/SQL).
- Ability to help create and map business needs/application requirements to technical solutions
- Development experience must be full Life Cycle experience including business requirements gathering, data sourcing, testing/data reconciliation, and deployment within Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing Architecture. Must have specific Development Life Cycle Methodology experience and have used it in multiple project deliveries.
- Experience of ETL development, testing and implementation using Informatica
- Experience of working with high data volume and strict performance requirements
- Experience writing advanced SQL queries, PL/SQL Stored procedures, Functions & Packages
- Coordinate with DBAs for tasks such as creating/rebuilding indexes, adding partitions, and analysing tables
- Proficiency using Toad or equivalent developer tools
- Basic UNIX Shell script experience required.
- Experience troubleshooting issues across different technologies including SQL, and Oracle.
- Exceptional debugging skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication and effective interpersonal skills to work with user community.
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames.
